Ethiopian Airlines has announced an increase in its frequency to Abuja, effective October 28, 2025, with an additional three weekly evening flights to its existing daily midday service.
With this, Ethiopian Airlines is supporting the growth of Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city, emerging as a key destination for international conferences and meetings, especially with the recent reopening of the Abuja International Conference Centre.
Passengers travelling from Abuja will enjoy more options and seamless connections to numerous African and Asian destinations, significantly reducing overall flight times. These additional flights come with extra perks, including increased baggage allowances for passengers heading to Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Madras, and Dubai. Loyal passengers will also benefit from double miles rewards.
The evening flights, departing Abuja at 10 pm (ET 957) and arriving in Addis Ababa at 5 am, will provide connections to various destinations, including DXB, GRU, and TLV. According to the Area Manager of Ethiopian Airlines in Nigeria, Firiehiwot Mekonnen, these extra flights aim to enhance service delivery, reduce travel costs, and reward loyal passengers with faster arrival times at their destinations.
With a presence in Nigeria since 1960, Ethiopian Airlines has consistently served the market with modern aircraft, including the A350-1000 and B787 Dreamliner.
The airline connects Abuja, Lagos, Enugu, and Kano to over 150 global destinations, solidifying its commitment to supporting Nigeria’s growing MICE industry.
