Mrs. Chika Ben-Obi

United Nigeria Airlines (UNA) has strengthened its Board with the appointment of Mrs. Chiaka Ben-Obi as a Director, effective November 1, 2025

This appointment underscores UNA’s commitment to strengthening corporate governance, enhancing strategic leadership, and advancing its ongoing expansion programme.

Ben-Obi brings over 30 years of multi-sector professional experience, including more than two decades in senior and executive leadership roles. She currently serves as the Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Proven Performance Limited. Prior to this, she was the Coordinating Director, Digital and Innovation Support Group at the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), where she spearheaded the agency’s digital transformation initiatives.

A passionate advocate for women in leadership and technology advancement, Ben-Obi has received numerous recognitions, including Corporate Woman of ExcellenceSheLeadsTech Award, and Technology & Innovation Personality of the Year in Public Service.

She holds a B.Sc. in Political Science and Public Administration from the University of Maiduguri, an MBA from the University of Hull (UK), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Systems Development from London Guildhall University. Ben-Obi is also an alumna of the Lagos Business SchoolMIT, and the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS).

Speaking on the appointment, the Management of UNA stated:
