The Network of Nigerian Maritime Journalists (NNMJ) has extended its warmest felicitations to the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), Adewale Adeniyi, on his 60th birthday today, January 19, 2026.

In a statement signed by the Chairman, Elder Dele Aderibigbe and Secretary Mr. Moses Ebosele, NNMJ commended CGC Adeniyi for his outstanding leadership and unwavering dedication to the Nigeria Customs Service.

Under his stewardship, the Service has undergone a remarkable transformation, earning international recognition and respect. His reforms, particularly the B’odogwu initiative, have been instrumental in boosting revenue generation and enhancing the country’s image globally.

The NNMJ noted that President Bola Tinubu has also acknowledged CGC Adeniyi’s exceptional leadership, citing the Service’s improved community relations, revenue targets, trade partnerships, and enhanced security across Nigeria’s borders.

As CGC Adeniyi celebrates his birthday, NNMJ prays that God grants him continued wisdom, strength, and good health to further lead the Nigeria Customs Service with excellence.
