SIFAX Group has congratulated Mr. Oluyinka Onigbinde on his election as President of the Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN), describing his emergence as a testament to his professionalism and long-standing commitment to maritime journalism.
The message was contained in a formal letter signed by Chairman of SIFAX Group, Taiwo Afolabi, on behalf of the company’s Board, Management, and Staff.
In the letter, Afolabi said Onigbinde’s election was well deserved, noting that his consistent contributions to maritime journalism and the wider maritime sector had earned him the confidence and respect of his peers.
“Your emergence as President is proof of your professionalism, dedication, and consistent contributions to maritime journalism and the broader maritime industry over the years”, Afolabi stated.
He expressed confidence that under Onigbinde’s leadership, MARAN would continue to promote professionalism, ethical journalism, unity, and constructive engagement within the maritime space. He added that the new leadership is expected to further strengthen the media’s role as a key partner in the growth and development of Nigeria’s maritime industry.
Afolabi, who also serves as Patron of MARAN, assured the new president of his goodwill and institutional support, wishing him wisdom, strength, and success in the discharge of his responsibilities.
