The Nigerian College of Aviation Technology, Zaria (NCAT), has once again secured the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s (ICAO’s) highest training honour – retaining its Training Centre of Excellence Platinum Status for the sixth consecutive year.
The Platinum rating, awarded under ICAO’s TRAINAIR PLUS Programme, is the top tier globally. ICAO only grants it to training institutions that consistently meet and exceed international aviation training standards. NCAT’s retention from 2021 through 2026 puts it in a very small group of TPP members worldwide that have held the Platinum seat this long.
The award covers both classroom and virtual training delivery at the college, and reflects NCAT’s strict adherence to ICAO standards across its programs.
NCAT management credited the feat to disciplined leadership, hard work, and a culture of excellence. “This is the product of hard work, effective managerial leadership, and diligent adherence to the highest standards in the delivery of all classroom and virtual trainings”, the college stated.
Commendation went to Rector and Chief Executive, Dr. Danjuma Ismaila, along with NCAT’s instructors and resource managers, for keeping the college at the pinnacle of aviation training in Africa and beyond.
