Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Dr. Abdullahi Musa, has earned the Doctoral Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Human Resources and Strategic Management (CIHRSM) in recognition of his contributions to public service, strategic management and human capital development.
Musa received the fellowship at an induction ceremony held recently in Lagos, with the Institute describing the honour as its highest membership cadre.
The Registrar of CIHRSM, Dr. Minna Abell, said Musa’s record in governance, leadership, public administration, human capital development and nation-building informed the recognition.
She also highlighted his academic and administrative background, noting that his experience had enhanced his approach to strategic communication and information management in his role at NAMA.
According to Abell, Musa had effectively applied his scholarly and research experience to managing critical information and communicating the agency’s mandate to its various stakeholders.
“In his current role, Musa has applied the depth of his academic research and scholarly experience to the strategic management of critical information, ensuring that information dissemination within the agency is strategic, effective, educative and proactive”, she said.

She added that his approach had strengthened communication of NAMA’s activities, interventions and mandate to stakeholders and the flying public.
Abell further noted that Musa’s experience across governance, leadership, public administration and strategic management had enabled him to bring a broader institutional perspective to his responsibilities as the agency’s spokesperson.
CIHRSM is a professional institution dedicated to advancing human resource development and strategic management through professional education, research, training and knowledge sharing.
The Institute places emphasis on ethical leadership, professionalism, integrity and excellence, which it said form part of the basis for recognising professionals who have demonstrated outstanding contributions in their fields.
Musa’s responsibilities at NAMA include public communication, stakeholder engagement and consumer protection, placing him at the centre of the agency’s efforts to communicate its activities and interventions to the aviation community and the wider public.
