Air Peace Limited has welcomed its fourth Boeing 777 aircraft, further solidifying its position as a leading aviation player in West and Central Africa.

The wide-body Boeing 777-200 ER aircraft, registered as 5N-CEG, arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on August 22, 2025, and was greeted with a traditional water-cannon salute.

The aircraft features 312 seats, including 26 luxurious business class seats and 286 economy class seats, offering a blend of comfort and modern amenities. According to the airline’s spokesperson, Efe Osifo-Whiskey, the arrival of the state-of-the-art aircraft aligns with Air Peace’s vision of global connectivity.

Air Peace’s Chairman, Dr. Allen Onyema, described the acquisition as a pivotal milestone in the airline’s growth trajectory, emphasising its commitment to offering Nigerians fair and affordable access to international travel. The newly acquired aircraft will be deployed for inaugural long-haul flights from Abuja to London’s Heathrow and Gatwick airports, with plans to open new routes to key European cities, South America, and the Caribbean.

Onyema expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Senator Festus Keyamo, for their support of indigenous airlines, which has created an enabling environment for growth.

The airline’s expansion plans aim to enhance regional and international connectivity, with a focus on efficient hub systems in Nigeria.
