Air Peace has expressed concern over a publication alleging that its Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Allen Ifechukwu Onyema, and Vice Chairman, Mrs. Alice Ojochide Onyema, are facing a tax suit by the Lagos State Government.

The airline stated unequivocally that neither the Onyemas nor Air Peace has been served with any court summons or official notification regarding the alleged suit, describing claims that legal proceedings have been ongoing since February without formal communication as surprising.

It maintained that all personal and corporate tax obligations have been fully met and remain up to date, in line with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.

The company added that if any discrepancies exist in tax computations, it is open to engaging with the Lagos State Government to review and reconcile any possible shortfalls in the interest of transparency and due process.

Reaffirming its track record, Air Peace noted that both the Onyemas and the airline have consistently demonstrated commitment, integrity, and patriotism in advancing Nigeria’s aviation sector.

The airline emphasised that it remains focused on maintaining high professional standards and will not be distracted from its responsibility to serve the flying public.
