Air Peace has announced the launch of its new monthly commercial flight service connecting Lagos (Nigeria) and Accra (Ghana) to the Caribbean islands of Antigua and Barbados, with operations beginning on 21 December 2025.
This landmark route marks a historic expansion of the airline’s international network, making Air Peace the only airline offering direct scheduled passenger flights from West and Central Africa to the Caribbean. It is a major step forward in fostering deeper socio-economic ties between Africa and the Caribbean and reinforces the airline’s commitment to expanding the continent’s global aviation reach.
The new service is designed to provide seamless travel between the two regions, opening doors for tourism, trade, cultural exchange, and bilateral cooperation. It reflects Air Peace’s strategic vision to serve as a bridge between continents, following previous successful long-haul Caribbean operations — including the historic Lagos–Montego Bay (Jamaica) charter in 2020 and the Abuja–St. Kitts & Nevis commercial service in early 2025.
In preparation for this new route, Air Peace has partnered leading travel agencies across Nigeria and Ghana to provide customers with exclusive travel and vacation packages. These include Tour Brokers International (Nigeria), Sun Seekers Tours (Ghana), and Adansi Travels (Ghana), ensuring travellers have access to well-curated Caribbean experiences that combine convenience, comfort, and culture.
With a focus on passenger comfort and world-class service, the flights will be operated using Air Peace’s wide-body aircraft, offering both Economy and Business Class cabins. Fares for the Antigua and Barbados flights are now available and can be booked via the airline’s website at www.flyairpeace.com or through accredited travel agents.
This new route complements Air Peace’s rapidly growing international portfolio. The airline currently operates over 20 domestic routes, 10 regional destinations, and eight international routes, including London, Dubai, Jeddah, Johannesburg, and Mumbai.
With one of the most modern fleets in Africa, comprising Boeing 777s, Airbus A330s, Boeing 737s, Embraer 195-E2s, Embraer 190s, Embraer 145s, and Dornier aircraft, Air Peace continues to set the benchmark for safety, service, and reliability in the region.
“This is more than a route launch; it’s a bold statement of our commitment to connecting Africa to the world and promoting intra-African and trans-Atlantic connectivity”, Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, Allen Onyema, said.
“We are proud to offer this direct link between Africa and the Caribbean, and we believe it will open new doors for tourism, economic partnerships, and cultural celebration between our peoples”, he added.
Air Peace remains committed to its founding vision of safe, reliable, and affordable air travel, while playing a pivotal role in driving economic growth, regional integration, and positioning Nigeria as a major hub for global aviation.
