The Comptroller General of Customs’ efforts to ensure peace and industrial harmony in Nigeria’s customs ports and borders have taken a significant step forward with the Area Controller of Apapa Customs Command, Comptroller Babatunde Olomu, visiting NAGAFF Headquarters on Tuesday July 1, 2025.

NAGAFF announcing this in a statement said the visit forms a part of the ongoing customs modernisation initiative, as the Apapa Port Command leadership aims to engage critical stakeholders, including NAGAFF members, to ensure a smooth transition and maximise benefits.

It added that the modernisation drive seeks to make customs ports and borders more friendly, competitive, efficient, and revenue-oriented while curbing smuggling activities and promoting e-commerce applications.

The statement urged stakeholders, including young freight forwarders, NAGAFF executives, and media representatives to grace meeting, scheduled to start before 12 noon.
