Comptroller Emmanuel Oshoba has started his tenure as Customs Area Controller of Apapa Port Command with a bang, achieving a record-breaking revenue collection of ₦20,156,077,098.56 on his first day in office.

This feat surpasses the previous record of ₦18 billion and demonstrates Oshoba’s commitment to meeting and exceeding revenue targets.

Oshoba attributed the success to the team’s efforts and stakeholders’ compliance, urging officers to maintain the momentum. He emphasised that the achievement is just the beginning of greater exploits and encouraged his team to focus on future targets.

The Comptroller praised the Unified Customs Management System, “B’Odogwu”, as a necessity for modernising customs administration in Nigeria and strengthening the country’s position as Africa’s largest economy.

He believes that collective efforts are positively impacting the Nigerian economy and urged officers and stakeholders to continue working together to achieve more.
