The Nigeria Auto Industry Summit (NAISU) is gaining momentum as major automobile stakeholders, including the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Toyota Nigeria Limited, Carloha, Weststar Associates Limited, Lanre Shittu Motors (LSM), and Nord, have confirmed their participation in the 2025 event.
The summit, scheduled for July 31, 2025, in Lagos, is themed “Nigeria First: Local Content as Catalyst for Automotive Economy”. The event is a platform for stakeholders to discuss solutions that will take the industry to greater heights, benefiting all players and Nigerians at large.
The Summit Organising Committee Chairman, Mike Ochonma, expressed confidence that this year’s event will surpass last year’s success, with critical government agencies like NADDC, Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), and Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) already confirming their participation.
The Chairman of NAJA, Theodore Opara, noted that NAISU has come to stay, with stakeholders wholeheartedly embracing the event. He emphasised that this year’s summit will focus on entrenching local content and discussing the long-awaited Auto Industry Development Plan of the federal government.
With growing interest from stakeholders and prospective participants, the 2025 Nigeria Auto Industry Summit promises to be a better version of last year’s event.
