Ethiopian Airlines has announced that it is set to launch a new passenger service to Jizan, Saudi Arabia, starting February 1st, 2026.
This addition expands the airline’s network in the Kingdom to five destinations, joining Jeddah, Dammam, Riyadh, and Madinah.
The new service will operate four times weekly and offers enhanced flight options for customers to and from the region across the airline’s extensive global network. Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO, Mr. Mesfin Tasew, expressed delight in adding Jizan to the airline’s global network, strengthening its presence in the Middle East and Gulf region.
The new service is expected to boost trade, tourism, and people-to-people ties, while providing convenient flight options for valued customers. Currently, Ethiopian Airlines operates over 40 weekly passenger and cargo flights to Saudi Arabia and 136 weekly services to 14 destinations across the wider Middle East and Gulf region.
Through codeshares with multiple carriers, including Saudia, Oman Air, and Etihad Airways, Ethiopian Airlines offers flights to offline destinations, providing seamless travel options for customers worldwide.
This development further solidifies Ethiopian Airlines’ commitment to expanding and strengthening its connectivity between regions and beyond.
