Graceful Basi Aroma (GBA) on Tuesday April 1, 2025 officially opened in Lagos showcasing class and innovation in both African and continental cuisines.

Founder and Managing Director of GBA, Mr. Basil Agboarumi, at the elaborate launch in Ajah, Lagos promised to expand the business to other states of the nation bring revolution and value in the food business in the country.

Agboarumi who claimed the ladder to attain the status of the Managing Director of the Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO) Plc and Executive Director Corporate Communications of the SIFAX Group before his voluntary resignation from the Group, said he had always had a divine passion to sell food.

He expressed joy achieving this dream via GBA, adding that the company was out to redefine culinary with emphasis on health and good taste.

In view of this, the former Managing Director of SAHCO said the firm has carefully studied the food landscape and understood the trend and food culture making effort to ensure GBA foods and healthy and appetising to the mouth.

A unique delicacy to the menu is ‘Basil Beans”, as Agboarumi narrated to the audience that he has a gifted stand out way of preparing beans to the taste of everyone around him right from his days in school.

Hence the decision to add ‘Basil Beans’ to the line up menu in GBA.

His words: “I dreamt this vision long ago and it has always been my desire to sell food. I really want to sell food. For those who me, that is my passion. With this opportunity, we are changing the narrative of dining and food varieties in the country.”

GBA promises to uplift the country food culture with an unrivaled and stimulating experience for its visitors and those who place orders anywhere adding that customers will be availed with a blend of Nigerian and Africa delicacies ranging from a varieties of rice and its unique Basil Beans to continental dishes that are carefully flavoured with local various Nigerian ingredients.

Agboarumi further emphasised that GBA is offering nutritious, home-style meals without compromising on taste or quality, providing a refreshing alternative to the fast-food culture that often sacrifices health for convenience.

Speaking on its expansion, he disclosed that from its strategic location at the Total Grace Oil and Gas Complex, opposite the Lagos Business School (LBS) along the Lekki–Epe Expressway, the restaurant will soon be expanded with locations on the Lagos mainland and especially at the Murtala Muhammad Airport, as well as other cities and towns in the country.

With the opportunity of tasting and assessing the menu, guests at the event testified to the unique nature of GBA’s menu with many adding that it stands to tower high above others in the restaurant chain business in Nigeria, especially with its arrays of chefs and excellent culinary.

Also on the same day was Agboarumi’s Public Relations outfit; The Onward Public Relations (TOPR) launched to bring value and expertise to the PR industry.

“Whatever we do, whether we are selling food or doing our public relations consulting we are bringing value to people”, Agboarumi stated.

It was indeed a triple event of both the restaurant and PR outfit launch and Agboarumi’s birthday.

Dignitaries who graced the launch include the The Executive Chairman of Sifax Group, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, who was represented by Wunmi Eniola-Jegede, the Group Coordinating Director for the conglomerate, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO), Mrs. Adenike Aboderin, and Chief Executive Officer, Mediacraft, Mr. John Ehiguese.

Others include former Nigerian Airways Public Relation Manager and Managing Director of Penguin Media Ltd, Mr. Chris Aligbe, Group Head of Corporate Communications at SIFAX Group, Olumuyiwa Akande, Head of MBA Programme, Lagos State University (LASU), Professor Rotimi Oladele, Agboarumi’s classmates at the Federal Polytechnic, Auchi Edo State among other friends, relations and associates.

GBA also offers outdoor catering and customers can as well order their food from the restaurant in the comfort of their locations and have it delivered to them in record time.
