
The recently concluded Face of Maritime International (FOMI) contest has revealed the scores and rankings of the top contestants showing how Esther Uchenna emerged the overall winner.
Representing the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN), Esther scored a total of 741 points out of 1000, showcasing her exceptional balance of intellect, charisma, and influence.
Esther’s scores were impressive across all categories, with 200 marks out of 250 in Influence, 163 marks out of 200 in Personality, 145 marks out of 250 in Popularity, and 116 marks out of 150 in Maritime Knowledge. Her closest competitors, Francisca Godfrey and Olayinka Akande, scored 563 and 560 points, respectively.
The scoresheet highlighted the importance of outreach, public engagement, and institutional backing in modern pageant-style evaluations. The Influence and Popularity categories, which accounted for 500 out of the 1000 available marks, proved to be decisive factors in determining the winner.
The competition also showcased the contestants’ personalities, with scores ranging from 81 to 163 out of 250. Modeling Skills were also fairly balanced, with most contestants scoring between 88 and 127 marks out of 150.

The FOMI contest has once again proven to be a platform for celebrating beauty, confidence, and maritime awareness among Nigerian youths.
