The Network of Nigerian Maritime Journalists (NNMJ), an umbrella body of all maritime journalists, wishes to officially announce its presence to all journalists, government agencies, and critical stakeholders.
This coalition aims to foster unity among journalists covering the maritime industry and ensure cohesion to better serve the interests of all journalists.
The NNMJ’s membership is drawn from existing maritime journalists’ associations, including the League of Maritime Editors, Maritime Association of Nigeria, Maritime Journalists’ Association of Nigeria, Shipping Correspondents Association of Nigeria, Online Media Association of Nigeria, and Congress of Nigerian Maritime Media Practitioners, among others.
The coalition seeks the support of all journalists, government agencies, parastatals, and maritime stakeholders to make this initiative a success. In due course, the NNMJ will announce its programmes, and it expects all maritime journalists to participate in them to ensure seamless coverage of the industry.
The NNMJ’s goal is to ensure that maritime journalists are no longer marginalised and are treated with the respect and recognition they deserve.
