The Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Engr. Farouk Ahmed, has officially flagged off the maiden edition of the MD’s Median Football Competition at the Agency’s Corporate Headquarters in Abuja. 

The event marks a historic milestone for NAMA, aimed at fostering unity among directorates and strengthening the bond between management and staff.

Ahmed described the competition as a platform for breaking barriers, promoting teamwork, and creating greater understanding and collaboration across the Agency. He commended the Directorate of Public Affairs and Consumer Affairs for conceptualising and delivering the event, which aims to enhance harmony and morale within the workforce.

In a surprise announcement, Ahmed revealed that NAMA staff would be receiving a salary upgrade, with the new salary structure set to be released on August 29, 2025. The announcement was met with loud applause and cheers from staff present at the ceremony. 

Ahmed’s leadership has been praised for its commitment to staff welfare and recreational activities, and the football tournament promises to bring excitement and camaraderie to NAMA’s workforce.
