The Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) and the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) paid a working visit to the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) Zaria on July 24, 2025, as part of an Institutional Strengthening Initiative.

This visit followed an earlier needs assessment visit in August 2024 and marks a significant milestone in the partnership between NCAT, NLNG, and NCDMB.

Established in 1964, NCAT is a premier institution for training aviation professionals, accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and recognised globally for its excellence in aviation training. The college has received numerous awards, including the highest number of trained instructors by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) for five consecutive years, and holds the prestigious position of one of four ICAO Training Centers for Excellence in Africa.

The NLNG and NCDMB’s collaboration with NCAT aims to intervene in areas of infrastructural development and equipment upgrade to elevate the quality of aviation training.

This partnership underscores the importance of industry support for NCAT, given its pivotal role in producing world-class aviation professionals equipped with the technical knowledge, discipline, and moral integrity required in the competitive global aviation industry.

The aviation industry is highly regulated, demanding utmost alertness, commitment, and professionalism to achieve safety and security demands.

This collaboration is expected to enhance NCAT’s capabilities, further solidifying its position as a leading institution in aviation training.
