Platform Reporters, the organisers of Face of Maritime International (FOMI), is set to confer the prestigious National Sheroes and Heroes (NASH) Award on outstanding individuals who have made significant impacts in Nigeria. 

The award ceremony will take place on October 3, 2025, at Villa Angelia Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos, marking the 10th anniversary of FOMI.

The nominees for the National Heroes Award include HRM Eze Amb. Damian Obianigwe, Prince Dr. Adewale Adeyanju, Mr. Samson Isaac, Mr. Oluwadamilola Emmanuel, and HRM Oba Adelodun Adeniyi. The National Sheroes Award nominees are Mrs. Benedine Eloka, Mrs. Adesuwa Ladoja, Mrs. Titi Ejimagwa, Barr. Nneka Nwarueze, and Yeni Anikulapo Kuti.

According to the Publisher of Platform Reporters, Mr. Sylva Obasi, the NASH Award is a special recognition award designed to honour courageous men and women who have risen to prominence in their fields, championing noble causes and positively impacting the lives of many Nigerians. The award ceremony will feature a red carpet interview, keynote lecture, pageantry displays, comedy and dance shows, and the unveiling of the Girls Go-To-Sea Trust Fund.

The Chairperson of the Central Organising Committee, Hajia Bola Muse, expressed the organisers’ readiness to host a memorable occasion, highlighting FOMI’s decade-long journey and its impacts on the maritime industry under the theme “FOMI – A Decade of Vision, Creativity, Resilience, and Impacts”.
