
Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Ann Oladayo has officially assumed duty as the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Zonal Commanding Officer, in Zone RS8, taking over from ACM M. Onukwubiri.
The RS8 Zonal Command, headquartered in Ilorin, oversees operations across Kwara, Kogi, and Ekiti States. Oladayo was redeployed from RS2 Zonal Headquarters in Lagos, where she previously served as Zonal Commanding Officer.
Upon her arrival at the RS8 Headquarters, she was warmly received by the Sector Commander, RS8.1 Kwara, and other principal officers.
Oladayo conducted an inspection of the Quarter Guard before addressing officers and men assembled at the parade ground.
In her remarks, she expressed gratitude to the Corps Marshal, FRSC, for entrusting her with the leadership of Zone RS8 and commended personnel for their warm reception.
She outlined her operational and administrative priorities, emphasising enhanced staff welfare, attention to personnel health, and improved operational visibility on major highways as key focus areas. Oladayo stressed the importance of timely and accurate reporting, rapid rescue of road traffic crash victims, swift clearance of road obstructions, and strengthened collaboration with stakeholders to reduce accidents.

“Road safety is a shared responsibility,” she said, highlighting the need for sustained public enlightenment campaigns to educate motorists and road users on safe practices.
The Zonal Commander assured officers and men of inclusive and purposeful leadership, urging professionalism, dedication, and teamwork in advancing the FRSC’s mission of ensuring safer roads across Kwara, Kogi, and Ekiti States.
