The Commissioner of Police, Ports Authority Police (Western) Command, CP Ibrahim Maikaba, commended the Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) for its responsible reportage of the maritime sector and activities of the Police Command.

This is just as he pledged the Command’s support for the Godfrey Bivbere led association.

Speaking during a courtesy visit to the Commissioner in Apapa, Lagos on Thursday, President of MARAN, Mr. Godfrey Bivbere, stated that he and members of MARAN were at the Command Headquarters to familiarise themselves and show solidarity with the Commissioner of Police.

While assuring the CP of the association’s support, Bivbere pledged that achievements of the Command would be given a wide coverage as the Command plays a pivotal role in securing the gateway for international trade and foreign exchange earnings for the country.

Maikaba on his part appreciated the warm hands of fellowship extended to him, and pledged a cordial working relationship with the MARAN.
