… tasks employees on professionalism, integrity, teamwork

SIFAX Group has kicked off the 2026 business year with a bold growth strategy anchored on innovation, technology adoption and regional expansion, as the conglomerate positions itself for stronger performance across West Africa.
The Group’s Chairman, Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, disclosed this in his New Year message to employees, partners and stakeholders, outlining SIFAX Group’s strategic priorities for 2026 while reflecting on a resilient performance in 2025 despite economic and regulatory headwinds.
According to Afolabi, the Group’s 2026 outlook is driven by the theme “Growth through Innovation”, with renewed focus on operational excellence, cross-subsidiary collaboration, sustainability and enhanced customer experience. He said the company is deliberately aligning its operations to respond to industry shifts and emerging opportunities across its diverse business portfolio.
“Our priorities include advancing technological integration across our logistics and maritime operations, expanding the use of cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions, and deepening our footprint in the West African sub-region, particularly through our financial services businesses”, Afolabi said.
“Above all, we remain committed to our mission of becoming Africa’s global conglomerate – trusted, resilient, ethical and impactful”.
He explained that the innovation-driven strategy would support SIFAX Group’s regional expansion plans, especially within West Africa, as the company consolidates its presence and scales its financial services offerings.
Afolabi noted that the 2026 agenda builds on key achievements recorded in 2025, a year he described as challenging but rewarding. Among the highlights was the strong performance of Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCO), which recorded a 155.45 per cent profit growth in the first half of the year and secured new handling contracts with international carriers, including Ethiopian Airlines and Air Tanzania.
In the maritime sector, Ports & Cargo Handling Services Limited expanded its general cargo operations, while SIFAX Shipping Company Limited strengthened Nigeria’s export capacity with the introduction of direct Less-than-Container Load (LCL) export services to the United Kingdom. SIFAX Shipping Inland Container Limited also continued to set benchmarks in efficient inland container terminal operations across the country.
The Group further advanced its diversification drive with the launch of SKYPAY Africa, a regional payment solution developed through its financial services arm, Sky Capital.
Beyond business growth, Afolabi reaffirmed SIFAX Group’s commitment to social impact through the Ajoke Ayisat Afolabi Foundation, which continued to support vulnerable individuals and communities nationwide.
Looking ahead, the SIFAX Group Chairman stressed that innovation would extend beyond technology to encompass people, culture and values.
He urged employees to uphold professionalism, integrity, teamwork and accountability
