
United Nigeria Airlines has partnered Medplus, one of Nigeria’s leading health and wellness retail chains, in a landmark collaboration that promises to redefine customer experience in both the aviation and pharmaceutical sectors.
This strategic partnership offers Medplus customers nationwide exclusive benefits, including discounted fares, wellness by incentives, and seamless travel-health experiences.
The partnership, sealed through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in Lagos, aims to create synergy between air travel and healthcare, focusing on wellness, convenience, and value. Medplus customers can access specially discounted fares across United Nigeria Airlines’ growing route network by booking with a special code displayed at Medplus stores nationwide. In return, the airline gains brand exposure through Medplus’ extensive national retail footprint of 150 outlets.
Executive Director/COO of United Nigeria Airlines, Mazi Osita Okonkwo, emphasised the collaboration’s focus on shared values. “We want to create a synergy between air travel and health. Our customers, and Medplus customers, deserve a full-circle experience that speaks to their wellbeing, comfort, and convenience”, he said

Executive Director of Strategy at Medplus, Efe Bakare, described the partnership as a win-win, offering flight discounts and promoting healthy lifestyle choices through Medplus. He envisions potential future collaborations, such as logistics or cargo integration.
The alliance will also gather customer feedback from Medplus clients to improve United Nigeria Airlines’ service delivery and passenger experience.
