United Nigeria Airlines (UNA) is poised to achieve a major milestone in its expansion journey with the launch of its first-ever regional operations — direct, non-stop flights from Abuja and Lagos, Nigeria, to Accra, Ghana — begnning Monday, November 10, 2025.

The inaugural flight, NUA 0590, will depart Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at 10:35 a.m., arriving at Kotoka International Airport, Accra, marking the start of a new era for both the airline and regional aviation connectivity.

This launch introduces a historic capital-to-capital service between Abuja and Accra operated by a Nigerian carrier. It reflects United Nigeria Airlines’ commitment to advancing regional integration, promoting trade and tourism, and strengthening cultural exchange across West Africa. The new route also represents UNA’s first international operation since the airline commenced commercial flights in February 2021.

“The introduction of our Accra route is a natural step in fulfilling our mission to ‘Fly to Unite’, said the spokesperson for United Nigeria Airlines, Mr. Chibuike Uloka.

“This expansion is more than a route launch — it’s a bridge between nations. We are proud to contribute to deepening economic, social, and cultural connections within West Africa”.

United Nigeria Airlines reaffirmed its dedication to providing safe, reliable, and world-class air travel while continuing to expand its presence across the continent.

Tickets for the new service are now available through flyunitednigeria.com and authorised travel agencies worldwide.
