ValueJet has announced the commencement of daily flights between Lagos and Owerri effective March 23, 2026, in a move set to strengthen air connectivity between Nigeria’s commercial capital and the South-East region.
The airline, which currently operates three weekly flights on the Lagos–Owerri route, will increase its frequency to seven flights per week in response to rising passenger demand and the growing need for more flexible travel options for both business and leisure travellers.

With the expanded schedule, passengers will enjoy greater convenience, improved flexibility, and seamless access throughout the week, reducing travel constraints and enhancing overall journey planning.
Speaking on the development, ValueJet’s Managing Director, Captain Majekodunmi, said the decision reflects the airline’s commitment to deepening domestic air connectivity and fostering stronger economic and social ties across Nigeria.

He noted that the daily service will better cater to professionals, entrepreneurs, families, students, and other travellers who depend on reliable and consistent air transport.
The Lagos–Owerri corridor remains a vital route for commerce, education, and family connections. The introduction of daily flights further underscores ValueJet’s responsiveness to passenger needs while reinforcing its strategy to expand and strengthen its domestic network.
