The late Mr. Richard Adeniyi, a seasoned journalist and member of the Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN), will be laid to rest in his country home, Ondo, Ondo State, on Saturday June 8, 2024.
Adeniyi died at the age of 86 years in April 2024 in Lagos.
While alive, he worked with many newspapers in Nigeria including Daily Times. He was a member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists and actively participated in the Lagos State Council.
As an active member of MARAN, he contributed significantly to the development of the nation’s seaports through reporting.
His burial rites will start with a service of songs and Christian Wake on Friday, June 7 and interment on Saturday, June 8, followed by reception at Ariya Event Centre, Olufisayo Street, Sabo Road, Ondo.
