Arik Air has extended its exclusive pilot training partnership with Acron Aviation in a new multi-year agreement that will see the global training provider continue delivering Boeing 737 Next Generation (B737NG) Full Flight Simulator training for the Nigerian carrier through 2029.
The agreement reinforces a long-standing relationship between both organisations and confirms Acron Aviation as the airline’s sole provider of B737NG Full Flight Simulator (FFS) training. Under the arrangement, all simulator training for Arik Air’s B737NG pilots will be conducted across Acron Aviation’s global training network, including its London Training Center.
The extended contract is expected to provide Arik Air’s flight crews with consistent, high-quality simulator training aligned with international aviation standards, while ensuring operational continuity, improved scheduling flexibility and access to experienced instructors and modern training facilities.
Vice President and General Manager of Airline Training at Acron Aviation, Patrick Davis, described the extension as a vote of confidence in the company’s training solutions.
“This contract extension, and agreement to exclusivity, is a strong endorsement of Arik Air’s confidence in our training solutions, facilities and, most importantly, our people”, Davis said. “We are proud to continue supporting Arik Air’s operations and look forward to strengthening our partnership over the next three years”.
Arik Air remains one of Nigeria’s major commercial airlines and a key operator within West and Central Africa, serving several domestic and regional destinations. The carrier plays a significant role in regional connectivity by facilitating travel for business, tourism and trade across its route network.
Industry observers say the renewed agreement highlights the increasing importance airlines place on advanced simulator training to maintain high operational safety standards while supporting fleet operations.
For Acron Aviation, the contract extension reflects its continued investment in advanced training capabilities and its strategy of building long-term partnerships with airlines around the world.
