Preparations have reached an advanced stage for the induction of new entrants into the Nigeria Aviation Hall of Fame, following the successful conclusion of the final screening of nominees.
Organisers of the prestigious event, Mr. Wole Shadare and Mr. Gboyega Adeoye, confirmed that final arrangements are currently underway ahead of what is expected to be a landmark ceremony in Nigeria’s aviation history.
Speaking on the level of support received, Shadare expressed deep appreciation to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, for his unwavering commitment to the success of the event.
“We are putting finishing touches to what promises to be a defining moment for Nigeria’s aviation history.
“This would not have been possible without the Honourable Minister, whose dedication to recognising excellence and preserving the industry’s legacy has been remarkable. His support has provided a significant boost to our efforts”, he said.
Also speaking, Adeoye commended the management of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), led by Managing Director, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, alongside other key aviation agencies for their collaboration.
“We are equally grateful to FAAN under Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku for standing firmly with us. The collaboration from FAAN, the Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology (NCAA) reflects a united industry ready to celebrate its heroes”, he stated.
The organisers further acknowledged the support of corporate and institutional partners, including Sheraton Hotel and Towers, Google Nigeria, Skyway Aviation Handling Company PLC, as well as several local and international airlines.
“This induction goes beyond honouring individuals; it is about inspiring the next generation and documenting the contributions of those who have shaped and sustained Nigeria’s aviation industry.
“With the strong backing of the Honourable Minister, FAAN, sister agencies, and our partners, we are confident of delivering a world-class event befitting the stature of our inductees”, the organisers added.
According to the duo of Shadare and Adeoye, details of the induction ceremony, including the date, venue, and full list of inductees, will be announced in the coming days.
