In fulfilment to its promise, United Nigeria Airlines has given passengers more than just a ride on Monday, June 1 as it handed out brand-new Samsung Galaxy phones mid-air in a surprise “Awesome Row” collaboration with Samsung.
Three lucky flyers – Hamid Ibrahim, Chidi Chinedu, and Gbenga Bello walked off the Lagos–Abuja and Abuja–Lagos routes with the latest Samsung devices after being picked through an onboard lucky dip.
The airline did not stop at the giveaway. Passengers on both flights got hands-on time with Samsung’s new Galaxy A57 and A37 during the flight, turning the cabin into a live product experience. The winners were drawn straight from passengers who tried the new devices in the air.
Chief Commercial Officer at United Nigeria Airlines, Dayo Olawuyi, said the promotion was about more than free phones.
“At United Nigeria Airlines, we fly to unite. Every route we operate, every flight we run, is about bringing Nigerians together – for business, work, or family”, Olawuyi said.
