Air Peace has taken delivery of its first brand-new Embraer E175 aircraft, reinforcing its fleet expansion strategy and commitment to improving connectivity across Nigeria, West Africa, Central Africa and international destinations.
The arrival of the state-of-the-art aircraft marks another milestone in the airline’s fleet modernisation programme and reflects its continued investment in fuel-efficient, next-generation aircraft aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, passenger comfort and route expansion.

The 88-seat aircraft, bearing Nigerian registration 5N-CGH, arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, at 8:32 p.m. on Tuesday after a successful ferry flight from Brazil, where it was formally handed over to an Air Peace delegation by manufacturer Embraer upon completion of production.
Designed for short- and medium-haul operations, the Embraer E175 features an all 2-2 seating configuration, eliminating middle seats to provide every passenger with either a window or aisle seat. The aircraft is equipped with ergonomic leather seats, generous legroom, spacious overhead baggage compartments, larger windows and a quieter cabin designed to enhance the overall travel experience.

In addition to passenger comfort, the aircraft offers improved fuel efficiency, lower carbon emissions and quieter operations through its advanced aerodynamics and modern engine technology, aligning with the airline’s sustainability objectives while maintaining high safety and reliability standards.
Speaking on the development, Air Peace spokesman, Mr. Efe Osifo-Whiskey, described the arrival of the aircraft as a major step in the airline’s long-term vision of operating one of Africa’s most modern and versatile fleets.
He said the Embraer E175 would strengthen the airline’s domestic and regional operations by improving operational flexibility, increasing flight frequencies and enabling the opening of new routes with optimal capacity.

According to him, the investment demonstrates Air Peace’s commitment to continuously upgrading its fleet to enhance schedule reliability, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
“As we continue to expand our network across Nigeria, West Africa, Central Africa and other international destinations, this aircraft positions us to meet growing passenger demand while contributing to economic development, regional integration, tourism and intra-African connectivity”, he said.

The addition of the Embraer E175 further consolidates Air Peace’s position as one of Africa’s fastest-growing airlines and underscores its confidence in the Nigerian aviation industry.
The airline said it remains committed to connecting people, businesses and cultures through safe, reliable and affordable air travel while continuing to invest in modern aircraft that deliver world-class comfort, seamless connectivity and operational excellence.
