The remains of veteran aviation journalist, late Shola Adekola, would be laid to rest on Wednesday March 19, 2025 as announced by the family.
A statement signed by her son, Mr. Tosin Adekola, on Monday March 10, 2025 revealed that the funeral arrangements will commence with a Wake – keep/Service of Songs on Tuesday 18th March, 2025 at No. 9 Ikire Street, Bammeke, Shasha, Alimosho, Lagos by 4pm.
According to the statement, the funeral service which would take place the next day (Wednesday 19th March, 2025) at Hallelluyah Mega Parish,16 St. Peter Church Street, Bammeke, Shasha by 10am, after which the eterment would take place at Redemption City, Memorial Garden, RCCG, KM 46, Lagos Ibadan Expressway.
The family extended their deepest appreciation to all those who have shown warmth and compassion to them following the unfortunate transition of the 61 year old journalist.
Late Mrs. Shola Oluremi Adekola died on Tuesday, 4th March, 2025 at Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Lagos after a brief illness.
Until her demise, the renowned journalist was working for the Nigerian Tribune as the Deputy Business Editor/Aviation Editor where she published her popular column ‘CRUCIAL MOMENT’ every Thursday.
