The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF) has extended its warmest congratulations to Dr. Bolaji Akinola on his recent appointment as the Special Adviser (SA) on Media and Communication to the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola.

The association also expressed confidence in Akinola’s competence on the seat, considering his expertise, experience and deep knowledge of the industry.

“We at NAGAFF welcomed this news with great enthusiasm and optimism. Your extensive experience, deep understanding of the maritime sector, and proven track record establish you as a valuable asset to both the Honourable Minister and the entire Ministry.

“We are confident that your expertise will significantly contribute to achieving the Ministry’s objectives and advancing Nigeria’s marine and blue economy”, NAGAFF asserted in a letter to Akinola.

The letter signed by the association’s Secretary General, Fwdr. Godfrey Nwosu, explained that as a key stakeholder in the maritime industry, NAGAFF recognises the vital role of Akiola’s office in fostering an environment conducive to trade facilitation, enhancing port efficiency, and promoting overall sector growth.

It therefore expressed hope that the new appointment will strengthen collaboration between the Ministry and freight forwarding practitioners, which will lead to more effective policy implementation and help resolve challenges within the supply chain.

NAGAFF in the letter sought to work closely with Akinola and the Honourable Minister to address critical issues such as port congestion, infrastructure development, regulatory bottlenecks, and the promotion of professionalism within the freight forwarding sub-sector.

“NAGAFF remains committed to supporting initiatives that will enhance the competitiveness of our ports and contribute to Nigeria’s economic prosperity.

“Please accept our sincerest best wishes for a successful and impactful tenure. We are confident that your dedication and expertise will bring about positive and sustainable changes within the maritime landscape.

“Once again, congratulations on this well-deserved appointment”, the letter read further.
