
Comrade Taofeek Adeleke, a dedicated Security Officer with the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN), has been honoured with the prestigious 2025 Best Staff Award by the African Independent Television (AIT).
The award ceremony took place at AIT’s corporate office in Alagbado, Lagos, highlighting Comrade Adeleke’s exceptional service and commitment to the union.
Described as a selfless and diligent officer, Adeleke has consistently demonstrated unwavering dedication to his duties, earning him recognition from MWUN executives and colleagues alike. His exceptional vigilance and proactive approach have enabled him to detect potential security threats before they escalate, making him an invaluable asset to the union.
When presenting the award to MWUN President General Comrade Bunu Abi, Adeleke was praised for his dedication, commitment, loyalty, and responsiveness to duty. Abi commended Adeleke’s work ethics, noting that he sees duty as a matter of personal dignity and will go the extra mile to deliver results.
