
The Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN) has commended the leadership of the Managing Director/Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku.
The Association also sought ways to deepen partnership with FAAN on Staff Welfare when it paid a courtesy visit to the Authority’s headquarters in Lagos on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
During the visit, ATSSSAN leaders expressed deep appreciation to the FAAN boss for her consistent support and commitment to the welfare, professional growth and institutional development of the Union and its members. It commended Kuku’s leadership style, noting that it has continued to promote mutual respect, trust and effective collaboration between management and organised labour within the Authority.
Responding, Kuku congratulated the newly elected ATSSSAN President, Mr. John Ogbe, and charged him alongside his executive team to lead the Union with dignity, fairness and equity in the collective interest of its members and the Nigerian aviation industry. She reaffirmed FAAN Management’s readiness to sustain a cordial, transparent and productive working relationship with ATSSSAN.
In recognition of her contributions to staff welfare and institutional development, ATSSSAN presented Kuku with an Award of Excellence during the visit.
The engagement ended on a positive note, with both parties reiterating their commitment to sustained dialogue, cooperation and the continuous advancement of Nigeria’s aviation sector.
Also present at the meeting were the Director of Finance and Accounts, Mr. Samuel Olatiregun; Director of Commercial and Business Development, Ms. Joy Agunbiade; and Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mr. Henry Agbebire.
