The Customs Area Controller (CAC) Tincan Island Port Command, Comptroller Frank Onyeka, on Wednesday March 26, 2025, hosted a special Ramadan Dinner for a diverse group of stakeholders at the Command’s headquarters, saying it is a way to foster open dialogue and mutual relationship.
During his welcome address, Onyeka highlighted that Ramadan is a time for reflection, self-discipline, and compassion.
According to him, the purpose of the event extended beyond providing food, but aimed at fostering open dialogue and mutual understanding.
“This dinner is a way to show solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters during this sacred month. It’s an opportunity to celebrate their devotion to faith, while also recognising the shared values of community, kindness, and empathy,” he said.

The Chief Imam of Tincan Island Mosque, Imam Sadaq Mohammed, expressed his gratitude to Onyeka for organising the dinner.
He described the event as a thoughtful initiative to bridge the gap between all religions at the Port, and he offered prayers for the success of the Command.
Chairman of the Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics (APFFLON) Tincan Island Command Chapter, Alhaji Akeem Ayobiojo, also expressed his appreciation.
He praised Onyeka for fostering unity and understanding at the Port, stating, “this dinner is a testament to the spirit of unity and mutual respect we strive to cultivate here at Tincan Island Port. Through this event, Comptroller Onyeka has created an environment where our differences are celebrated, and our shared humanity is recognised.”
