The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has recorded another major milestone with the successful attainment of two internationally recognised standards: ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System).

The certifications were awarded by MSECB, Canada, following a comprehensive and independent audit of FAAN’s operational systems, procedures and service delivery framework across its airports.

The achievement confirms that FAAN’s processes now align with global benchmarks for quality assurance, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement. It reflects the Authority’s resolve to deliver efficient, safe and customer-focused airport services while embedding sustainable environmental practices across all FAAN-managed airports nationwide.

According to the Director Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mr. Henry Agbebire, with the dual ISO recognition, FAAN’s institutional credibility is further strengthened, positioning Nigeria’s airports to compete more effectively within the global aviation ecosystem and attract greater international confidence.

He commended the commitment, professionalism and teamwork of FAAN’s workforce and appreciates the continued support of its stakeholders in reaching this important milestone.

He reiterated the Authority’s dedication to upholding international best practices and continuously improving service delivery across Nigeria’s aviation sector.
