
The Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT) Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) on Monday, 1st December 2025, gathered in an atmosphere of pride and celebration to honour Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) of Customs, E. J. Edelduok, whose recent elevation to the management team marks another milestone in her distinguished career.
The celebration, held at the Command, brought together senior Customs officers, representatives of sister agencies, maritime industry stakeholders, friends and well-wishers— all united to applaud a leader widely admired for her integrity, professionalism and transformational impact.
In her welcome address, Deputy Comptroller Adedokun described ACG Edelduok as a disciplined administrator and a thorough professional whose tenure at KKT Command was marked by improved operational efficiency and enhanced stakeholder collaboration.
As Customs Area Controller, ACG Edelduok distinguished herself by streamlining cargo clearance processes, strengthening strategic engagements within the oil and gas sector, and prioritising staff development and welfare. Speakers who delivered goodwill messages commended her unique leadership style — firm, empathetic and consistently result-driven, adding that the Service was gaining an exceptional officer at the management level.
A citation read in her honour chronicled her years of dedicated service across various strategic assignments within the NCS.

In her response, ACG Edelduok expressed deep appreciation to the Comptroller General of Customs and the management team for the trust placed in her.
She also thanked officers and stakeholders of KLT Command for their steadfast support, noting that all achievements recorded during her tenure were the product of teamwork, professionalism and a collective commitment to national development.
Edelduok pledged to continue serving with diligence, integrity and passion in her new role, with a focus on advancing the Service’s objectives and enhancing trade facilitation in line with global best practices.
The ceremony featured the cutting of a send-forth cake, group photographs and an atmosphere of celebration as attendees honoured what many described as a distinguished and impactful career.
As Edelduok moves on to her new assignment, officers and stakeholders of KLT Command expressed confidence that she will continue to excel and bring honour to the NCS.
