Air Peace Limited has rolled out immediate passenger support measures and rescheduled its Lagos–London Gatwick service following an unexpected operational disruption encountered mid-flight on May 13, 2026.

The airline disclosed that the incident arose from enroute access issues involving the airspace authorities of an African country, forcing a swift operational response. In line with international aviation safety protocols, the aircraft safely returned to Lagos while efforts were initiated to obtain the necessary clarifications from the relevant authorities.

As part of its response, Air Peace promptly informed affected passengers of the situation and activated care arrangements to cushion the impact of the disruption. These included timely communication updates, on-ground assistance, and other support services aimed at ensuring passenger comfort and continuity of travel plans.

The London Gatwick service has since been rescheduled, with the airline emphasising that the disruption was beyond its control.

Air Peace expressed regret over the inconvenience caused and reassured the flying public of its unwavering commitment to operational integrity, strict regulatory compliance, and the delivery of high standards in passenger service across its network.
