
Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), operators of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two (MMA2), has once again partnered MBR Signature Events and Entertainment Company, with the vibrant support of Wema Bank to usher the spirit of Christmas into the terminal in grand style.
Welcoming guests to the ceremony, Acting Chief Operating Officer and Head, Space & Premises Management, Mr. Kola Bamigboye expressed his delight at hosting the annual celebration. He announced BASL’s excitement in welcoming Wema Bank as the official sponsor of this year’s Christmas festivities. He noted that MBR Signature and its partners have consistently infused the terminal with colour, creativity, and warmth during the festive period, adding that Wema Bank’s involvement this year further enriches the holiday experience for passengers and visitors.
According to him, the collaboration reflects BASL’s commitment to elevating customer experience and creating memorable moments for everyone who passes through MMA2 this season.
The Christmas Light-Up event featured enchanting carols and musical performances, officially heralding the start of the festive period and spreading a joyful ambience across the terminal.
As she performed the ceremonial lighting of the terminal, the Head of Brand and Marketing, Wema Bank, Mabel Adekeye, expressed the bank’s excitement in bringing the Christmas experience closer to the travelling public. She thanked BASL for the opportunity and reaffirmed Wema Bank’s dedication to enhancing customer experience through meaningful engagements.

In his remarks, Acting Chief Operating Officer and Head of Aeronautics & Cargo Services, Mr. Remi Jibodu, appreciated the airlines and passengers who have consistently supported BASL throughout the year. He emphasised that they remain the reason BASL pauses to celebrate at this time of year, noting that “Detty December truly begins here at MMA2—the gateway to the festive experience”.
He further acknowledged the longstanding partnership with MBR Signature, which paved the way for this year’s collaboration with Wema Bank, the generous sponsor of the Christmas décor and ongoing festivities within the terminal.
Also speaking, Group Head, High-Value Segment & Diaspora Banking, Wema Bank, Olutayo Oladipo, reaffirmed the bank’s readiness for “Detty December” and its decision to bring the festive campaign directly to airport passengers.
