
The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) has taken a significant step in strengthening its presence in Delta State with the inauguration of four new units under the Dockworkers Branch.
The newly inaugurated units are Ifiekoro/Obeji Unit; having Comrades Endurance Bobele as Chairman and Andy Eyifoma Omagbemi as Secretary.
Sapele Unit with Comrades Felix Oborodowan as Chairman and Akoko Aghogho as Secretary.
Koko Unit with Comrades Happy Wilkie as Chairman, while Bright Dumkpemi is Secretary.
Oghara Unit has Comrades Daniel Ayoka as Chairman and Tanno Kingsley as Secretary.
The President of the Dockworkers Branch, Comrade Agboola Bolaji, congratulated the newly elected officers and urged them to uphold the Union’s constitution and maintain the highest standards of behaviour in their official capacities.
He emphasised the importance of being good ambassadors of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria at all times.
Bolaji noted that the inauguration of the new units marks a new era for the Union, and he expressed confidence that the newly elected officers would work tirelessly to promote the interests of the Union and its members.
The event underscores MWUN’s commitment to expanding its reach and enhancing its services to members across different regions.
