The National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders (NAGAFF), the parent body of the New Nigeria People’s Party, (NNPP) on Friday sought the face of God in prayers to intervene in the ongoing crisis in the Party’s leadership.

This just as the Founder of NNPP, Doctor Boniface Aniebonam, has said that the crisis would end in a stronger Party.

According to NAGAFF, NNPP is a vision from God and God has the ability to douse the storm and threat facing the Party currently.

The prayer session saw members of the Association Deputy National President, Mr Simeon Nwonu, come out at the NAGAFF Headquarters in a sober reflection to ask for God’s mercy over the Party.

According to Nwonu, NNPP is a party on the move and cannot be stopped by any man, because with God all things are possible.

While delivering his sermon during the prayers, Pastor Jewell Ozor of the Evident Assembly Ojo, stressed that God does not like strife citing the case of Abraham and Lot in the holy Bible.

In the sermon which he entitled ‘Controversy,’ he declared peace over NNPP and called on God to cause controversy between those who have risen against the party, either to hijack or scatter it.

However, he averred that NNPP would come out of the crisis and move to another level because controversy ends in a lifting for those that call upon the Lord.

He said: “God does not keep silent in the midst of controversy, he will command the storm to be calm, every great man or great destiny must be prepared for controversy to move to another level.”

The prayer also focused on the spirit of God to touch Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate of the NNPP who was expelled by the Party for anti party activities.

NAGAFF prayed that Kwankwaso breaks away from sycophants who are believed to be pulling wool over his face, holding him with the intent of tearing the Party to shreds.

Aniebonam speaking to journalists thereafter, said the essence of the prayer session is to call for peace, he said “it is not good for the House to be in turmoil , the Kano episode was an example, this time around, the internal crisis does not make sense and it is even avoidable.

“Kwankwaso mutilated the Party’s flag and Logo on live TV, this action is stealing and conversion, it is criminal but be it as it may, I expected them to build on the success of the Kano election but at the ending this crisis, everyone on the right side will be respected,” he said.

He expressed confidence to come out stronger at the end of the day, pointing out that he had bigger challenges in the past and won.

In his words: “This one is not a challenge,” I have faced so many before, I still maintain that at the end, the Party will come out stronger.”

He questioned the rationale behind Kwankwaso’s ‘Illegal’ Convention which was done in contempt, as the Court case is still not determined.

Aniebonam revealed that NNPP has also written to INEC to preserve the peace of the Party before the determination of the Case in Court.

He debunked the rumour that they have lost in the Court, tagging it but a weapon of propaganda against the Party.
