The highly anticipated one-day sensitisation seminar on drug-related issues, organised by True Witness Communications and Media Services, publishers of News Emperor Magazine, is set to hold today at the Lagos Airport Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos.
The event will bring together experts from various fields to share insights and strategies for combating drug abuse.
Themed “Nigerian Youths and the Danger of Drug Abuse”, the seminar aims to raise awareness among young Nigerians about the dangers of drug abuse, educate the public on prevention and treatment, and develop practical solutions to address the menace. Key government agencies, including the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), and National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), will participate in the event.
Top officials, such as the Chairman of NDLEA, Brigadier General Buba Marwa (rtd), and the Comptroller General of NCS, will deliver presentations.
The seminar will provide a platform for stakeholders to brainstorm and develop effective strategies to combat drug abuse, contributing to ongoing efforts to address the issue in Nigeria.
