Chairman and CEO of Air Peace, Doctor Allen Onyema, has congratulated to Ibom Air on the delivery of its inaugural Airbus aircraft, marking a historic moment as Nigerian carriers collectively order new equipment.
According to Onyema this as a transformative period for Nigeria’s aviation as he anticipates job creation, economic contribution, and enhanced market prominence with expanded fleets, facilitating affordable air travel to both local and international destinations.
Expressing joy over the industry’s achievements, the Air Peace Chairman acknowledges the positive impact on livelihoods and hopes for sustained success.
The former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel, along with Ibom Air’s CEO, Mfon Udom, and Chief Operating Officer, George Uriesi, attended the handover ceremony in Canada.
Airbus executives, led by President and CEO Benoît Schultz, highlighted the A220-300’s global recognition for fuel efficiency, advanced technology, and comfort.
Udom emphasised the game-changing nature of the Airbus A220-300, positioning Ibom Air for expansion across diverse African destinations.
He said: “The airline commits to providing world-class services, prioritising superior travel experiences, schedule reliability, and on-time departures as it continues its growth plan.
