Air Peace has announced a temporary disruption to its scheduled Lagos–London Gatwick service, appealing for patience to its valued passengers and the general public.

The airline in a statement explained that shortly after the completion of boarding, a routine post-boarding technical check detected a minor fault requiring immediate attention. In strict adherence to global aviation safety standards and the airline’s uncompromising safety policy, the aircraft was withdrawn from service and all passengers safely disembarked.

It said at Air Peace, passenger and crew safety remains the highest priority, taking precedence over all operational considerations. While the disruption is regretted, the decision to halt the flight was both necessary and responsible.

All affected passengers were promptly informed and provided with care, including hotel accommodation and other necessary support to ensure their comfort. To minimise further inconvenience, a replacement aircraft is being dispatched from London, with passengers now scheduled to depart this morning.

“Air Peace sincerely appreciates the patience, understanding, and cooperation of its passengers during this period. Their trust and confidence remain deeply valued”, the statement stressed.

The airline reiterated its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, and service excellence.
