It was an atmosphere of joy and celebration as the Seme Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) on Thursday decorated 66 senior officers charging them to exemplify responsibility and humility.

The senior officers who were promoted by the Nigeria Customs Service Board (NCSB) during its 63rd Regular Meeting in Abuja. 

The ceremony, held at the ECOWAS Complex, Joint Border Post (JBP), Seme-Krake, was attended by Heads of sister security agencies, family members, and stakeholders.

The Customs Area Controller (CAC), Comptroller Wale Adenuga, congratulated the promoted officers, emphasising that their new ranks come with greater responsibility and humility. He urged them to remain committed to the Service’s vision and work together as a team to make Seme Area Command a pride of the Nigeria Customs Service.

Adenuga praised the Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, and his management team for ensuring a fair and transparent promotion exercise. He reiterated the Command’s commitment to supporting the CGC’s vision and continuing to engage with stakeholders to ensure the border remains a pride of the Service and the best in the West African sub-region.

On behalf of the decorated officers, CSC Oreyeni Olufemi expressed gratitude to the Comptroller General, the CAC, senior officers, families, and colleagues. 

He pledged that the officers would justify the confidence reposed in them and continue to contribute to the Service’s success. 

The event was filled with unity, thanksgiving, and renewed dedication to the Nigeria Customs Service’s vision.
