The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), acting on the directive of the federal government, has announced a 50 per cent reduction in rail service fares across the country for the yuletide season.
According to the NRC, the fare slash will take effect from December 23, 2025 to January 4, 2026, and is aimed at easing transportation and enabling Nigerians to travel more comfortably during the festive period.
The corporation stated that the initiative aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the federal government under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to making transportation more affordable for citizens during the holidays.
