
United Nigeria Airlines (UNA) has announced the appointment of renowned global executive, Prof. Tochukwu Madubuko, to its Board of Directors, with effect from January 1, 2026.
The appointment, which was approved at the airline’s Extraordinary General Meeting held on December 30, 2025, underscores United Nigeria Airlines’ commitment to strengthening corporate governance, enhancing strategic leadership, and supporting its ongoing expansion drive.
Madubuko brings over two decades of diverse experience spanning entrepreneurship, international business, education, and public service. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Chilanna Holdings LLC, Miami; Chairman of The Moonshine Contractors Limited; and Managing Partner of CareerNation, a United States–based human capital consulting firm with operations across multiple states.
An accomplished professional with strong international exposure, Prof. Madubuko holds a Master’s degree in Management from The New School and a Bachelor’s degree in International Law from the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia. He is also certified as a Senior Human Resources Professional (SHRM-SCP) and a Registered Organisation Development Consultant, bringing deep organisational and cross-cultural expertise to the UNA Board.
Commenting on the appointment, the airline said it aligns with its strategy to broaden board membership with seasoned professionals capable of driving transformation and long-term value.
