The Acting Customs Area Controller (CAC), Oyo/Osun Area Command, DC Moses Adewole, has reaffirmed his resolve to strengthen inter-agency collaboration through strategic courtesy visits to key security and regulatory agencies in Oyo State.

The engagements, held between February 17 and 19, 2026, were aimed at consolidating existing partnerships and enhancing cooperation in intelligence sharing, joint operations, and the overall protection of national security.

On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Adewole led members of his management team on a courtesy visit to the Department of State Services (DSS), Oyo State Command, Ibadan, where they were received by the State Director, Mr. Rahim Adelakun. The Ag. CAC commended the DSS for its pivotal role in safeguarding lives, property, and national security, stressing the need for sustained collaboration between both agencies.

In his response, Adelakun appreciated the visit and described the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) as a critical institution in economic development and border security. He assured the Command of the DSS’s continued support through robust intelligence sharing, joint operations, and capacity-building initiatives.

Similarly, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, Adewole visited the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Oyo State Command, where he was received by the State Commander, Commander Oluwarotimi Lawal, and his management team. Lawal lauded the NCS for its strategic contributions to combating illicit trafficking and pledged the NDLEA’s full cooperation. 

The Ag. CAC, in turn, expressed appreciation for the partnership and reiterated his commitment to strengthening operational ties.

On Thursday, February 19, 2026, the Ag. CAC paid a courtesy visit to the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Southwest Zonal Office, Ibadan. He was received by the Zonal Coordinator, Dr. Isaac Anjorin Kolawole. Adewole acknowledged NAFDAC’s critical mandate in regulating food and drug safety and reaffirmed Customs’ commitment to collaborative efforts in protecting public health and national interests.

Responding, Kolawole commended the Nigeria Customs Service for its achievements in revenue generation, anti-smuggling operations, and border protection. He emphasised the importance of sustained inter-agency synergy in achieving effective service delivery and advancing national development, assuring the Command of NAFDAC’s continued cooperation.

The series of visits underscores the Oyo/Osun Area Command’s commitment to building stronger alliances with sister agencies to enhance operational efficiency, bolster national security, and contribute meaningfully to Nigeria’s socio-economic growth.
