Nigeria’s transportation, energy and trade sectors will converge in Lagos on today, October 23, for the second edition of the JustNet Transport Summit, with industry leaders expected to chart practical solutions to global disruptions and challenges confronting the transport value chain.

The summit, organised by JustAlive Communications Limited, publishers of JustNet News, will take place at Providence Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos, bringing together policymakers, regulators, investors and private-sector operators to deliberate on strategies for building a resilient and competitive transport system.

With the theme, “Navigating Global Disruptions and the Road Ahead: Mobility, Energy and Trade Facilitation for a Resilient Future,” the summit will focus on the impact of evolving global economic challenges on transportation, energy security, mobility and trade facilitation.

Speaking ahead of the event, the Managing Director of JustAlive Communications Limited and convener of the summit, Mrs. Pearl Ngwama, said all arrangements had been concluded for the successful hosting of the gathering.

Ngwama expressed confidence that the summit would provide a platform for meaningful discussions, industry collaboration and actionable recommendations to advance Nigeria’s transportation sector.

Among the key personalities expected at the event are the Chairman of the Occasion, Capt. Warredi Enisuoh, Executive Director, Operations and Technical, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited; transport and aviation expert, Dr Richard Aisuebeogu; energy-sector stakeholder, Dr. Thomas Ogungbangbe; and transport industry professional, Femi Aiyegbajeje.

Their participation is expected to enrich deliberations on the interdependence of transportation, energy and trade, particularly as geopolitical tensions, energy-market uncertainties, rising operational costs and shifting global supply chains continue to influence the movement of people and goods.

The summit will also examine the importance of stronger collaboration among government agencies, regulatory institutions, investors and private operators in addressing persistent structural challenges across the transport value chain.

Beyond identifying industry challenges, the gathering is expected to explore practical approaches to improving infrastructure, strengthening energy security, facilitating trade and enhancing operational efficiency across the road, rail, maritime, aviation and inland waterways subsectors.

Ngwama said the summit was designed to encourage constructive engagement among stakeholders and stimulate ideas that could translate into sustainable improvements in Nigeria’s transport and logistics systems.

The second edition builds on the inaugural summit, which focused on “Nigeria Transport Infrastructure: Innovation for a Sustainable Future.” The continued engagement reflects the organisers’ commitment to providing a platform for dialogue on critical developments shaping transportation and allied sectors.

With preparations completed, the organisers expressed optimism that today’s summit would create opportunities for participants to exchange ideas, establish strategic partnerships and advance workable solutions to the challenges facing Nigeria’s transportation industry.
