Prof. Simon Okoro

Professor Ambassador Simon Okoro, Group President of Twin Pillars Corporation and Chairman/Managing Director of Sico International Graphics Ltd, will serve as Distinguished Chairman at the 17th Anniversary, Lecture and Awards of National Impact Glitz Magazine.

National Impact Glitz Magazine described Okoro as a global personality whose career reflects profound intellect, spiritual conviction, and service to humanity.

A Clinical Professor of Modern Naturopathic Medicines, Eminent Baha’i Scholar and ICT strategist, Okoro has spent decades bridging science, religion and technology. He holds that “Science and Religion are not antagonistic forces, but the two mighty wings upon which human civilization must rise”.

Scholar, Humanitarian, Leader

Born into the respected Odom and Mgbirime lineages of Afikpo, Ebonyi State, Okoro attended Agba Primary School Ozizza, UAMC School Ebute-Metta and Eko Boys High School Lagos. His academic journey extended to Burleigh College and National School of Business in England, and the Alexander Hamilton Institute MBA Programme in the USA. 

He was conferred with a Doctor of Humane Letters in 2009 and a Clinical Professorship in 2025 by the European American University. He also received the African Leader of Integrity Award 2023 in Accra and the Ambassador of Natural Medicine Award 2023 from NCPNM and APCAM.

He chairs the Advisory Council of the United Igbo Sons and Daughters Association and holds the traditional title NWACHINEKE JIRI GOZIE OHA “1” OF THE GREAT AFIKPO PEOPLE.

In 1983, at age 20, he was appointed by FEDECO as the youngest Presiding Officer in Nigeria’s history. In 1986, during the UN International Year of Peace, he served as Director of Publicity for the “First Earth Run” and as the youngest UNICEF Ambassador in Nigeria.

Corporate and Medical Footprint

As an ICT pioneer, Okoro was the first nationwide distributor of Apple Computers in Nigeria. Today, through Twin Pillars Corporation and Sico International Graphics Ltd, he is building infrastructure in Enterprise AI, Cognitive Systems and Quantum Computing for government agencies, corporates and institutions.

In health, he leads the Mona International Centre for African, Chinese and Allied Traditional Medicines. He has treated thousands of patients with chronic conditions and is a former Chairman of the Lagos Chapters of NCPNM and APCAM, also a member of the Lagos State Traditional Medicine Board.

Vision for Africa 

Okoro’s leadership is anchored on a seven-point vision for Africa: oneness of mankind, altruistic leadership, Pan-African trade, correction of African history, female health empowerment, organic agricultural literacy, and poverty eradication through functional literacy.

The 17th Anniversary, Lecture and Awards will assemble leaders from government, business, academia, health and the creative industry to celebrate excellence and national impact.
